Description
Covers an area approximately equivalent to squares F4 and 5 on the corresponding WWI map sheet 36a and portions of squares X28 and 29 on sheet 27. Negative roll 4B, photo number 1919. Camera focal length 8 inches. Annotation on recto: north arrow pointing to upper-left. An absolutely straight railway line can be seen running from the upper-right corner on a diagonal to the bottom edge of the photo. Verity Crossing is located where a road (indicated by the brightest and thickest white line) crosses the rail line. Further along this road (going up and to the left) is a compound of German huts next to and within a circular track. Further still to the left (just down from the next intersection) is Auk House which is connected to the German compound by a diagonal cart track (thin, wavy white line).
