The map covers an area roughly from the border of Belgium in the northwest to the region of Hesse in the northeast and from the Lorraine region of France in the southwest to the region of Wurttemberg in the southeast. The current city of Mainz is approximately at the center of the map as is the Rhine River which figures prominently running from top to bottom. Acquired by McMaster University in 1969 as part of the Lord Cholmondeley collection. Location: McMaster University Library, Research Collections, RMC number 9275 (stored boxed).
