Printed map. "Drawn by the Sieur Robert de Vaugondy, Geographer to the French king, and to the Duke of Lorrain and Bar, member of the Royal Academy of Sciences and Belles Letters at Nancy, with many additions & improvements by Thos. Kitchin Geographer". Three visual scales [80 mm = 240 British Statute Miles]. Insets: "Iceland". Along the bottom edge of the map there is a row of flags, some British naval flags, and some country flags (not all of which are European). There is a colour code at the right end of the row of flags. Acquired as part of the Lord Chomondely Collection.
