WWII MI9 escape map, number J3, depicting northern Italy with a close-up of the Swiss border in an inset. The map is printed on man-made fabric rather than silk. According to Dr. Barbara A. Bond, in her book "Great Escapes: the story of MI9's Second World War escape and evasion maps," map J3 was printed on January 7, 1942 in a print run of 5,000 and based on native Italian maps rather than Bartholomew maps.
