Described in Chubb, The Printed Maps in the Atlases of Great Britain and Ireland, entry LXX, p. 65. This map is possibly from the 1683 edition (Chubb, entry LXXIX, p. 74) or from a reprinted edition from 1724 which has blank verso (Chubb, entry LXXXI, p. 74).

McMaster's copy does not have text on verso, and may be from a later reprint.

Nuevo Atlas de los Reynos de Escocia E Yrlanda..., published 1662. McMaster has another edition of this map with Latin text; see RMC_4175.

Printed map. Date of publication is based on the address of mapseller, George Wildey. Tooley's Dictionary of Mapmakers states that "Willdey" published a number of maps from 1715-1737 “'at the Great Toy, Spectacle, China-Ware, and Print Shop, the Corner of Ludgate Street near St. Paul’s London'” (vol. 4, p. 391). Two Visual Scales [6= 3 Irish miles, 12 cm = 3 English miles]. Note appearing on the map: The impossibility of finding the true mearings of the Baronys; has obliged us to have recourse to Sr. Willm. Petty’s , Surveys. Insets: "A plan of the town of Newry" and "A plan of the city of Armagh" are very detailed, showing streets, fields, gardens and buildings. The inset map of Armagh has a reference chart to important buildings then standing as well as some major ruins. Acquired as part of the Cholmondeley Collection.
