Back description: Pre-Printed: KING EDWARD VIII Spoke As Follows: "It gives me great pleasure to be present on the occasion of the formal dedication of this bridge, which commemorates the peace that has now happily endured between he British Empire and the United States for more than a century. May this bridge be not only a physical and material link between Canada and the United States, but may it also be symbolical of the maintenance of their friendly contacts by those who are on both sides of this frontier; may it also as a continual reminder to those who will use it, and to all of us, that to seek peace and ensure it is the first and the highest duty both of this generation and of those that are yet to come."
