Front: The photograph is shot from an upper floor across the street and shows street life in Port Dover at the turn of the century. Dominion Hotel and another 3 story building with a clock tower across the street. A horse-and-buggy with "Simcoe" written on the back and a man is unloading in front while another looks on. Several other wagons pulled by horses are visible on the street. Both buildings are still there at the intersection of current day Market and Main Sts. but not serving their original functions of course. The building with the clock tower was the town hall at the time. It was built in 1906.The landmark, three-storey building was designed with stores on the ground-level and a 300-seat town hall auditorium and council chambers above. Back:
