Description
Front: Original Owners of our Country series published by Young Bros., Toronto. B&W oval photo in centre flanked by pine trees on left and First Nations men on right (ref. p. 340 Cdn Patriotic and Heraldic Postcard Handbook Vol. 2 by Mike Smith). The central image is the Basiclia in Quebec City. Back: This old Roman Catholic Church has some fine paintings, notably one by Van Dyck the Crucifixion. Its white and gold interior is in striking contrast with the plain, almost somber interior of the old English Cathedral here which has, however, very beautiful stained glass windows. My best regards to your Mother, Sincerly, J.H.S.
