Numbers and alphabetical letters have been added to the margin of the map for reference. Includes place name index below the map entitled: Table des chefs-lieux de tous les arrondissemens communaux de la France, par ordre alphabétique. McMaster has another version of the map, which does not include the table of place names and bears a different margin design at the corner edges at the bottom of the map (see RMC_4199). Acquired as part of the Cholmondeley Collection.
