Printed map. "Apud R. & I. Ottens". Two visual scales. North is oriented to the left. Probably originally published in Frederik de Wit's Orbis Maritimus ofte Zee Atlas, published 1675 and later. Described in Koeman, Atlantes Neerlandici, vol. IV, entry M. Wit 1, p. 518-519, map [26]. "The plates have lasted for a century or more.... R. and J. Ottens obtained the plates and printed charts from them for their edition of the Atlas de la Navigation in 1745" (Koeman). McMaster has an older edition by Wit; see RMC_107231. Acquired as part of the Banks Collection.
