Description

Oblique angle photo looking southeast from just outside Vierstraat toward Oosttaverne and Wytschaete. Covers an area equivalent to portions of squares N12, 13, and 14, and O20 and 21 on the corresponding WWI map sheet 28. Negative roll 20K, photo 1135. The Wytschaetebeek river can be seen cutting across the photo from right to left along the bottom edge of the photo. The road from Vierstraat to Wytschaete can be seen along the right edge of the photo. The Grand Bois can be seen in the foreground, with the Onraet Wood in the middleground, and Oosttaverne Wood in the background. Annotations on recto: photo number 1035 is struck out with a line and 1135 is written in above in black.
