Originally published in Atlas von Liefland oder von den beyden Gouvernementer und Herzogthümern Lief-und Ehstland und der Provinz Oesel von Ludwig August Graf Mellin, published by Mellin in 1798. This map was plate 7 in that atlas. Described in Maps in the Atlases of the British Library, v.1, p.675: "Some maps in this Atlas von Liefland have plate numbers in their upper right corners, not corresponding to their sequence in the atlas." On verso: a Robert Clifford bookplate. Acquired as part of the Lord Cholmondeley Collection.
