Originally published in Atlas von Liefland oder von den beyden Gouvernementer und Herzogthümern Lief-und Ehstland und der Provinz Oesel von Ludwig August Graf Mellin. Published by Mellin in 1798. This map was plate 12 in that atlas. Described in Maps in the Atlases of the British Library, v.1, p.675: “Some maps in this Atlas von Liefland have plate numbers in their upper right corners, not corresponding to their sequence in the atlas.” A Robert Clifford ownership label is affixed to the verso. Acquired by McMaster University in 1969 as part of the Lord Cholmondeley Collection.
