Printed map. Includes 5 views: Iceberg in Baffins Bay; Burnets Inlet Barrows Strait; First view of the Coppermine River; and, Views of the land on south side of Scoresby's Sod [2 views]. Also includes historical notes. In upper right margin, "XLIV". Cartographer uncertain, likely James Wyld, the elder, based on a similar map pictured and described in Mary Javorsk's The Canadian West Discovered (Calgary, Alta. : Glenbow Museum, 1983) map 12, page 28: "The number XLIV in the upper right hand corner of this map by James Wyld suggests it was published with accompanying material." Map content relates to the discoveries of Arctic explorers Sir John Ross (1777-1856), Sir William Edward Parry (1790-1855) and Sir John Franklin (1786-1847).
