First demy series, completely printed in the field; 1st Printing Coy., R.E.; 2nd Army Section (117); no date, but annotation in manuscript on the reverse says 'for the attack of 16 June 1915.' German front line on eastern edge of 'Y' wood; no German trenches shown on Hill 60!; detail and grid black (open chain-dotted letters and numbers); German trenches red; arbitrary target numbers in circles blue; approximate British front line black - very schematized; railway wood and hill 60 shown in no mans land!; no contours; not linen-backed; conserved by mounting onto strong archival tissue; extremely rare; 32 x 41cm; good condition in its conserved state.
