AMS M791 (GSGS series 4229). AMS 1. Copied from an Istituto Geografico Militare map dated 1908 and compiled by the U.S. Army Map Service in 1943. The sheet shows revision to principal communications up to 1939 from smaller scale maps and air photos. Information shown in black is taken from smaller scale material and its position is approximate. Road classification is NOT based on reconnaissance, realibility is uncertain. The meridians are based on the meridian of Rome, which is 12 degrees, 27 minutes and 7.1 seconds east of Greenwich. Contours at 10 metres (V.I.). South Italy Grid "Blue".
