Description

Italian map dated 1936 reprinted in German in 1943 with purple German grid superimposed. Grid lines (purple) follow the Deutsche Heeresgitter (DHG), or German Army Grid System. Easting (Rechts) and Northing (Hoch) coordinates are measured in metres, based on a central meridian of 15 degrees (Meridianstreifen 15 degrees). Latitude/longitude coordinates are based on the prime meridian at Rome (Monte Mario). Contour intervals (Hohenlinien) are 10m.
