This is a digitized image of a printed paper map of the St Thomas, Ontario region (Sheet No. 040I14B), published in 1973. It is the second edition in a series of maps, which show both natural and man-made features such as relief, spot heights, administrative boundaries, roads, railways, trails, waterways, buildings, terrain, and land formations. The photograph for this map was originally taken in 1970, by the Survair Limited, based out of Ottawa, ON, Canada. These various surveys were under the Surveys and Mapping Branch of the Department of Energy, Mines and Resources, Government of Canada. Original maps were digitally scanned and georeferenced as part of the Ontario Council of University Libraries (OCUL) Historical Topographic Map Digitization Project.
